PMMA can be clear or colored and delivered in sheets, rods and tubes in cast and extruded editions.

PMMA can be machined and vacuum shaped and heat-formed.

What is PMMA used for

Application temperature normally up to 65-70 ° C
Short-term up to approx. 85-90 ° C
Density usually approx. 1.16-1.19 g/cmᶟ

Advantages:

  • High gloss and hardness
  • Good UV resistance
  • Do not affect alkaline solutions
  • Good optical properties
  • Good electrical properties
  • Can be metallized
  • Can be monomer cast to voltage-free semi-finished and finished parts

Limitations:

Attacked by strong acids alcohols, acetone and chlorine water.

Applications:

As glass separates like outside (greenhouses), instrumentlys, lenses.

Linatex is a member of EPDA and IAPD and is subject to ongoing control by the Danish Food Administration

Please note that it is the end user who is responsible for the materials used to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Linatex uses a Zeiss 3D measuring machine to ensure that deliveries meet the desired dimensions.
